OzAsia Festival is a beautiful celebration of Asian arts presented by the Adelaide Festival Centre. What a wonderful way for South Ausrtalians to immerse themselves in another culture and experience theatre, dance, music, film and visual arts from across Asia.
This year we had the opportunity to be a wine sponsor for 12 Doors; a contemporary dance and documentary. At the forefront of this performance are dancers with disabilities exploring the obstacles they’ve passed through to become independent members of society. This is represented as twelve key moments in the dancer’s lives, or ‘doors’, it is the story of when those doors were found locked, when they were guarded and when their families were there to help them through.
Why Sponsor 12 doors?
Art is a beautiful expression of oneself and is deeply tied to our Rohan Family wine range; we use watercolour paintings to express how to enjoy our wines. These artworks are found on most of our wine labels and are painted by a talented South Australian artist who is of Asian background. When we were given the opportunity to sponsor an OzAsia event, it seemed fitting and we are delighted to help!
